The aim of this initiative is to highlight celebratory activities in preparation for FIFA World Cup 2022, and to encourage private and public sectors and members of the community to express their celebration, in addition to promoting for this major event and to welcome visitors from different countries, and this is in line with Qatar’s efforts to provide the best celebratory image to welcome the visitors.

The initiative consists of two main aspects:

1. 1- The participation of all citizens and residents in decorating their facilities or residential units.
2. 2- A competition for three categories in the country to decorate their facilities in a way that reflects this sport event.

Citizens and residents can participate in the initiative by decorating the facades and fences of their houses or residential units, and this is by artwork and decorative lightings and other decorative works, while adhering to the participation guidelines of the initiative.
With regard to the competition, the three categories can participate in the competition by decorating the facades of the buildings, fences, outdoor areas and all their facilities and sites and this is through implementing artwork, drawings, and decorative lighting and other decorative works that also follow certain guidelines.

The participants in the competition will have the opportunity to apply within three categories, firstly, schools, universities, and kindergartens, secondly, private, and public sectors, thirdly, municipalities.

The winners of the first three places for schools and kindergartens for each of the following age groups (kindergarten - primary - preparatory - secondary – joint schools) will receive financial rewards as follows: first place 40,000 riyals, second place 30,000 riyals and third place 20,000 riyals, while the winning universities of the first three places will receive financial rewards of 60,000, 50,000 and 40,000, respectively.

Regarding private and public sectors and municipalities, they will be honored with certificates and memorial shields.

Registration will be in two stages: the first stage, which is the pre-implementation stage, through which the contestant will submit proposals for decorating in a descriptive manner with illustrative pictures, and after making sure that there are no violations of the requirements, the contestant will be contacted to start implementation, and then the final submission with the participation pictures after the implementation has been completed, by following the same steps via the website to be evaluated by the evaluation committee.

Registration will be in two stages: the first stage, which is a pre-implementation stage, through which the participant will submit decorating proposals in a descriptive manner with illustrative pictures, and after making sure that there are no violations of the requirements, the contestant will be contacted to start implementation, and then the final submission with the participation pictures after completing the implementation, and this is by following the same steps through the site so that the participation will be shared in media platforms.

No specific budget has been allocated for participation and schools should participate in decorative works within their own budget.

Regarding the private and public sectors and municipalities: initial ideas and participations are received during the period from July 1st until August 31st of this year, followed by the final picture after implementation from September 1st until November 15th.

Regarding schools and universities: initial ideas and participations will be received from the period of July 1st until September 30th of this year, followed by the final picture after implementation from October 1st until November 15th

Regarding the citizens and residents: their participation will be received from the period of July 1st until August 31st of this year, followed by the final picture after implementation from September 1st until November 15th
